Overview

Wireless technologies have exploded into prominence over the last ten years, with newer and more advanced wireless communication standards emerging all the time. As wireless traffic becomes more pervasive, the requirement for high quality security becomes ever more important. All recent standards have included data security from the start and older standards such as 802.11 have had security strengthened with the 802.11i security extensions.

Most of these standards use authenticated encryption modes such as AES-CCM or AES-GCM which provides both data encryption and authentication with a single security algorithm. Helion were the first company to offer a specific wireless security processor solution back in 2002, and we have many satisfied customers in the wireless space.
